From Teaching Friends to Building a Pickleball Movement |
Hey Pickleball Fam!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of playing pickleball with some friends who recently moved back to town from Colorado. They’ve never played the game before, and we decided to meet up at Chicken N Pickle for their first experience.
Watching their excitement as they picked up the basics took me back to the moment I first started playing. There’s something magical about that initial spark—the joy of learning, the laughter over missed shots, and the thrill of hitting a good one.
By the end of the evening, they were hooked. They even asked me when I’d be playing again and if they could join me on a weekly basis.
Moments like this remind me of why I love pickleball so much.
This sport isn’t just about the game—it’s about community. It’s about reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and building memories that last.
Now, I’ll be honest. My own games weren’t great—I spent most of the time teaching. But that didn’t matter. I used the opportunity to work on my drops and backhand, especially since they tended to pop the ball up like a meatball (LOL).
2025 is going to be our best year, I’m beyond excited about what’s coming for the All-American Pickleball Association (AAPA).
We have a BIG vision: scaling our community to 1 million pickleball players.
We’ve put together an exceptional plan and an incredible team to make this happen.
Let’s make 2025 the biggest year yet for pickleball!
See you on the court, Armando Alejandro P.S. For a limited time we’re giving away 12 outdoor pickleballs for FREE (just cover the shipping and handling costs).
